State Representative Vicki Truitt

Announces Kick-Off of "Annual District 98 Coffee Tour"

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 1, 2010

Southlake, TX-- "I’d like to hear what’s on your mind, and the coffee’s on me," states Rep. Vicki Truitt (R-Keller) today when she announced her Annual District 98 Coffee Tour.

Representative Truitt began the District 98 Coffee Tours in 2002. The annual tour through the district is always well received by residents of the 98th House District. A popular breakfast spot in each city of the 98th District is the site of one-on-one interaction between Representative Truitt and the people she serves.

"I believe it is important for me to reach out to the people I represent, rather than making them come to me," says Truitt. She continued, "Of course, we are always available in the District Office in Southlake, or in the Capitol Office in Austin to listen, but the Coffee Tour makes a statement about wanting to make myself easily available to constituents in a casual, comfortable atmosphere."

The Annual District 98 Coffee Tour is an opportunity for the people of Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Keller, Westlake, the Tarrant County portion of Trophy Club, and a large part of far north Fort Worth to share concerns, ask questions, or provide suggestions for the next legislative session while Representative Truitt listens.

Representative Truitt will begin her tour later this week in the Fort Worth area on Friday, February 5, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Dunn Bros. Coffee (5040 N. Tarrant Pkwy, Suite 136). The tour will continue through each city within the district on the following dates and at locations shown below from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m:

Keller, February 12 at Snooty Pig

Southlake, February 19 at Corner Bakery
